F.A.Q.

1How old do you have to be to get a tattoo?
You must be 18 years old to get tattooed, and must have a valid photo id (drivers license, state issued id, passports). No id, no tattoo. there is no parental consent for minors, so see you on your birthday; its worth the wait.
2How safe is getting a tattoo? Are the needles new for each customer?
Each needle is sterile and single use, with an expiration date. We dispose of every needle in a sharps container, just like hospitals do. All non-disposable equipment is sterilized with an autoclave on site, the same as any dentist or surgeon. Our autoclave is tested by an independent facility in order to confirm and maintain its working order.
3How do I prepare for my tattoo?
It’s important to be well rested before getting tattooed. Make sure that you have had something to eat and are wearing appropriate clothing for where you are getting tattooed. Show up on time for your appointment. Don’t come in drunk or under the influence of any drugs.
4Can I bring a friend wih me?
We encourage having a friend with you. Although, too many people can be distracting to you and, particularly, your tattoo artist. Please use discretion.
5How do I care for my new tattoo?
Remove bandage after 2-6 hours. If bandage sticks to tattoo wet the area with lukewarm water and slide the bandage off. Wash the area gently with mild, unscented soap and water (Dial, Dove), using clean hands and making sure to remove all excess ointment, blood and ink. Pat dry with a clean bowel. DO NOT SCRUB. Apply a VERY THIN LAYER of Aquaphor ointment 2-3 times a day for 2-3 days. After that, apply a mild fragrance-free moisturizing lotion, until the tattoo settles into the skin (3 weeks to one month). Curel or Euccerin work well. NO SUN for 2 weeks. NO SWIMMING or SOAKING for 2 weeks. NO SCRATCHING OR PICKING YOUR TATTOO!
6Do you do walk-ins?
Yes, but we cannot guarantee availability. Please call ahead if you are looking to get tattooed on a specific time or day.
7How much does a tattoo cost?
The cost of your tattoo depends on a number of factors including size, placement, skin type, and color vs. black and gray. Quotes are done in person only (by the piece). Rates are 120/hr.
8What type of reference material can I bring in?
Photographic reference is best when printed large and clear. When it comes to photographic reference, the quality of the image will affect the quality of your tattoo. All reference for inspiration is welcome and the more you have the more prepared your artist will be for you.
